This data set contains the prior assessment values compared to the new. There are two different tax calculations for the new assessment values. The first, denoted by the name Calculated, is a calculated tax value taken by dividing the previous total tax amount by the new total assessed value; this in turn gives an estimated Calculated tax value. The second, denoted by the name Input, is an input tax amount once received by the assessor for what the levy rate should be.

This dataset contains the Census 2020 Block Populations with the Council Districts appended to them. The Council Districts were joined to the Census blocks based on the center point of the census block polygon.

This data set contains the prior assessment values compared to the new. A new budgeted tax rate for Fiscal Year 2022 is then applied to the New Assessed values. Several calculated fields are then created to numerically describe the impacts the reassessment combined with the budgeted tax rate will have on Chattanoogans compared to prior tax amounts and assessed values.
